TROPHY WINNERS

Gus Stremme from Novato won the Sundae Cup in October for his beautiful red 55 T-Bird, chosen by the Fourth & Sea staff members.  It took ALOT of negotiation amongst everyone, we are told, because there were so many beautiful cars that came that month.  But they finally arrived at this one winner.  Gus says it's his 6th best of show trophy.  Or maybe that was 7th?  At any rate, his T-Bird is a definite winner! Congrats, Gus!

Clover Stornetta's costumed ambassador, Clo the Cow, chose Dennis and Betty Hautzenrader's pristine milk-white 1940 Pontiac Coupe to win the prestigious Sundae Cup Trophy at the Sept. 30th event!  Clo doesn't say much, so we couldn't get her explanation of why she chose their car, but we think it's pretty obvious.  It's a gorgeous car!  Congratulations Dennis and Betty!

Mike McCaffrey's 1953 Chevy Pickup was chosen to win the Sundae Cup at the August event by celebrity judges Judy and Steve Mahrt from the Petaluma Egg Farm, along with help from their 3 sons. Steve admitted it wasn't an easy job choosing one car above all the rest, but they all finally settled on Mike's beautiful truck because:
1.  It is a truck, and as farmers that's something they can appreciate.
2.  It's a beautiful truck
3.  It had a hay bale in the bed.  Who'd have thought a hay bale would be a deciding factor?
Congrats, Mike!  Thanks for bringing your beautiful ride!

Petaluma Speedway's Rick Faeth chose Hudson and Minnie Graham's 1958 Austin Healey to win the Sundae Cup in July.  Rick said he chose the car because:

1. He loves it
2. The guts it took to bring a foreign car to compete against all that "American Steel"

So it's kudos to you, Hudson and Minnie, for your beautiful car AND your courage!  Also pictured above is son, Hudson, and his wife Marlyn.

Congrats to Glenn Walsh on winning the Sundae Cup for June 2012 for his gorgeous 1936 Ford Coupe! Thanks for coming and showing off your fabulous ride! Susan Boyle and Jerome from Art Without Labels Gallery (who acted as our celebrity judges...) were obviously impressed!

In May 2012, none other than John "Petaluma Pete" Maher, Celebrity Judge Extraordinaire, chose Royce Bradley's souped up 1961 Buick Skylark to win the coveted Sundae Cup.  Royce drove his Skylark all the way from Vacaville to attend the Sunday Cruise In and found out about it on Facebook!  Congratulations, Royce, and thanks for coming such a long way!

Rick Loomer took the Sundae Cup at the October 2011 Cruise In for his shinier-than-seems-possible 1956 Nomad.  Janelle and family from the Kidz Swap Store were the judges.  Looks like they've got a good eye!

Maryleen Perez drove all the way from San Francisco by herself in her brother Vincent's '51 Mercury Sports Sedan in less-than-perfect weather to the September Cruise In.  Vincent Perez is the SF firefighter tragically killed in the June fire.  Maryleen drives Vincent's car now in his memory.  The car was chosen to win the Sundae Cup by celebrity judge Petaluma Pete, even before he knew the car's history.  We are honored Maryleen came to our Cruise In, and we think everyone there  was happy Vincent's car won the Sundae Cup.  Congratulations, Maryleen, and thank you for sharing Vincent's story, and his car with us.

Joe Noriel, President of the Petaluma Historical Museum, chose Dave Lund's beautiful 1968 Chevy Pickup to win the Sundae Cup Trophy at the August 28 Cruise In.  Dave restored and painted the truck himself in his garage.  Great job, Dave!  Congratulations!

Teela Ridgeway, of Petaluma's Ridgeway Vineyards, chose Leroy and Edna's bright orange '41 Chevy (bought last June) to win the Sundae Cup Trophy on July 31, 2011. It's the Wright's first classic car, their first car show, AND their first trophy! Teela says she picked it because it's "Giants' Orange". Can't argue with that!  Congratulations Leroy and Edna!

Steve Peaslee of Petaluma took the prestigious Sundae Cup Trophy at the June 2011 Cruise In for his 1965 Mustang 350 GT.  And when we say "took" it, we mean it....Steve had to take the Cup home to finish his sundae!  But it's back now, on display and ready for next month's lucky winner.  Congratulations, Steve!

In May 2011, Kylee Pinten and friends cruised up all the way from San Bruno when they saw the Sunday Cruise In on Craigslist events. It proved to be well worth the ride when Kylee was awarded the Sundae Cup Trophy for her beautiful '56 Bel Air. And bringing a few friends up with her to help with that sundae wasn't a bad idea, either. Congratulations, Kylee!!
